Memory Walk helps raise dementia awareness
Yesterday we held our first community event, Wellingborough & District Memory Walk. The walk was designed to be fully inclusive for all ages and abilities and we pleased to meet people from different generations taking part in the walk and listening to the music provided at Bassett's Park. Memories of childhood summers
I was talking during my musical activity the other day, off the cuff as usual. I was outside and as I normally use an electronic screen for my music it is not any use in the sun so I swapped it for the good old fashioned sheet music. There is always a bit of a breeze outside and so out came the good old pegs to peg down the corners. Loving, the essence of being a butterfly in dementia care
In a recent visit to a care home, there was a sense of people feeling bored and waiting for something interesting to happen. There were a lot of men living there and there was some substantial building work going on in the home that week.
