Tallington Lodge care home enjoyed a very successful open day on Sunday 10th March. The day was designed to showcase the exciting second phase of a two year redevelopment of the care home. Visitors were impressed by the high standards of décor and had the opportunity to take a tour of the home, meet the care team and sample the mouthwatering menus.
The new areas of Tallington Lodge feature the ‘Railway Inn’ pub, Gallery café and luxurious lounge and dining areas. The project has seen an additional 31 bedrooms, as well as increase car parking space and a staff training room. The scheme has involved the partial demolition of the old care home to make way for a new sympathetically designed two storey front extension in keeping with the original Regency period rectory.
“We were pleased to welcome over 100 people to our home at the weekend” said Rabea Azad, Customer Relations Manager at Tallington Lodge Care Home, she added “It was great to show people what a fantastic asset the new home will be for the village of Tallington. We already have great relationships with various local groups, schools and churches; the new home will give us much more space and a fantastic venue to invite more community groups to join our residents for events.”

Tallington Lodge is built from traditional stone, whilst incorporating state of the art design and functionality enabling staff to deliver the highest standards of personalised care. The care home’s interior décor draws on the local area for inspiration; The Welland Suite and Burghley Suites on the ground floor, are named after the local River Welland and famous Burghley House in Stamford. They feature tastefully designed sitting and dining areas for residents to enjoy. The superior ground floor en-suite bedrooms feature patio style doors opening directly out onto their own seating area enabling residents to enjoy the garden. Residents will also be able to make use of the ‘boat house’, a beautiful outdoor sitting area decorated with a nautical theme.
