Entry Deadline for Championships – Friday 15th July

British Baker is celebrating all things cupcake with our National Cupcake Championships! With five categories for self-entry including: Classic Cupcake; Made with Chocolate; Made with Alcohol; Free-from; and Seasonal, we are judging on taste, innovation and quality in these delicious little cakes. Any professional baker is encouraged to enter to help boost sales of their cupcakes with the industry expert’s official seal of approval. Winners will be announced the week before National Cupcake Week and promoted across British Baker’s magazine, websites and newsletters, as well as through our extensive social media reach.

Finalists will be invited to an exciting day at AB Mauri Centre of Excellence where they can partake in masterclasses while the experts judge the delicious cupcakes. A winner will be announced in each category, and then an overall winner will be chosen.

Mrs B's Cakes - 2015 winner

"I am absolutely thrilled beyond words to win this. It is something I have been working towards for the last four years and it is going to mean so much to my business. It means that my cakes are good and it is so good to have that endorsement. This will help future customers trust in me especially when I am doing wedding cakes and wedding cupcakes."

Mary Eastman of Mary's Fairies - 2015 finalist

"Since tweeting about being a finalist I've had a stream of enquiries. I'd bake maybe two or three for this particular coffee shop, but not for the private orders that I'm now getting enquiries for. They are coming from new people, so I'm really pleased."
