Fruity Fridays
Fruity Fridays are a great way to celebrate and enjoy eating fruit.
Always try to do enough for staff and visitors to join in too.
Choose in-season fruits where possible
Strawberries
Raspberries
Blackberries
Blueberries
Redcurrants
Blackcurrants
Grapes
Cherries
Slices of the following
Apples
Pears
Bananas
Segments of Oranges and related fruits
Finger Fruits are probably the easiest to provide, prepare and share
Talk about:

Wine making with grapes

Jam making with soft fruits

Pies, tarts and crumbles
Speak to your chef about menus.
Provide raw fruits to match cooked fruit desserts or apple sauce with pork, etc.
This can help to promote appetite as the associations are made.
Some people may feel that they have cooked the items themselves as they recall eating the raw ingredients.
